Ursula Grobler - Rowing World Record Broken
Friday 05. February 2010 - 11:31Ursula Grobler, 29, of UW Training Center, rowing as a lightweight, now holds the World Record for Lightweight Women 19-29 with a time of 6:54.7.
Ursula was determined to execute the race plan discussed with coach Carlos Dinares. A decade later, she broke the world record with a time of 6:54.7. The previous record was held by USA rower Lisa Schlenker 6:56.7. This qualifies Ursula to compete at the C.R.A.S.H.-B. | World Indoor Rowing Championship in Boston on the 14th of February 2010. The qualifying time for Lightweight women posted by Concept 2 is 7:12.2. Ursula will attempt to brake her own record again in Boston.
