Karin Thürig proved to be a first-class competitor once again. She finished with a cycling split time in the top 25 overall out riding numerous of her male counterparts. The gruelling conditions allowed Karin a time of 9:52:43, with split times of 59:30 - 5:27:30 - 3:18:47. And finally at the finish line Karin managed to gap the competition by 25 minutes, ahead of Tina Boman (Fin). Karin has proven that her strength may be cycling; however she can also bring a first-class performance in her running and swimming disciplines.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = 'urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office' />
